What I do
I teach and research on the application of data science methodologies to study global transformations (platform economy, innovation dynamics, etc.). My research encompasses institutions, economic dynamics, and the use of unstructured data. What do I do then? I learn everyday!
What I care about
My primary focus lies in studying the accelerated transformations occurring globally, particularly those driven by advancements in technology, data, and analytical methods. I care about democratizing access to this burgeoning field of knowledge to collectively solve our global challenges (climate change, inequalities, etc.).
How I connect to the D^3 Mission
I perceive the next frontier as fundamentally inductive, propelled by a bottom-up approach that is rooted in data. This approach not only enriches our empirical understanding but also offers a robust framework for testing and refining theoretical constructs and old economic indicators in the ever-evolving landscape of data science.
