What I do
Formally, I'm the Marvin Bower Associate Professor in the Entrepreneurial Management Unit at Harvard Business School and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Less formally, I am a researcher studying the intersection between finance and innovation, thinking constantly about how private capital markets shape entrepreneurial ecosystems.
What I care about
Interested in Crypto and Blockchain technologies? come talk to me. I am studying the Entrepreneurial Ecosystems built on top of Layer 1 blockchain ecosystems. How does the innovation on top of these permissionless, interoperable, and distributed ecosystems evolve? how are they influenced by capital deployment and financial considerations? what shapes the formation of these communities and why? thinking constantly how these technologies will shape our future.
How I connect to the D^3 Mission
How is entrepreneurial activity and innovation different in the Web3 ecosystem and why? Through my work with various companies, together with case writing, research and teaching, my goal is simple - enhance our understanding of how entrepreneurs and incumbents should react to and build on top of this fastly evolving and exciting space.
