“ 91-year-old Clementina Caruso in front of @friedaforgenerations where she works as a hostess three times a week. She says,” I was afraid to get old but these are the best years of my life. You know why I have orange hair? It’s for my name, Clementine, in English.” A few years back Clementina’s boss Thomas emailed to tell me thatvhis fabulous hostess always dreamed of meeting me and getting her book signed. It turns out that we met several years ago in New York City and after meeting she bought my book and became a huge fan of @ilonaroycesmithkin ! Clementina is never seen without one of her 497 brooches. If you have a chance step into @friedaforgenerations in Philadelphia for some great food and wonderful conversation. Thomas and his partner have created a space specifically designed for creating intergenerational community and conversation. There is no WiFi in the space in order to encourage people to meet and they have weekly creative events along with masterfully baked pastries. Thomas and Clementina is was an absolute pleasure to meet you both today… we also had a chance to call Ilona today so Clementina could share how she had inspired her! “ Ari Seth Cohen is the creator of Advanced Style, a street style blog documenting, in his words, the “fashion and wisdom of the senior set.” Cohen’s blog was made into a best-selling book of the same name in 2012, followed by a colouring book and 2016 sequel "Advanced Style: Older & Wiser." In 2018, he published "Advanced Love," which featured 40 profiles of older couples from across the globe. #FRIEDA #reconnectinggenerations #lifeislikeaboxofchocolate #arisethcohen #marvelous #advancedstyle #styleblog #streetstyle #bestseller #friedaphiladelphia @advancedstyle @friedaforgenerations
