Thanks for sharing Bruno! I really agree with you on the importance of ensuring AI is embedded in and organization’s value!

On April 22, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on Stylumia: Bringing Science to the Art of Fashion :

I did not know the company and found this blog very fascinating, thanks for sharing!!
As Tiffany, I would be very interested in knowing your thoughts on how Stylumia is dealing the conflicts of interest caused by serving competing partners.

On April 22, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on How Spotify Knows Your Music Tastes Better Than You :

Thanks for this interesting blog!
As already noted, the “Release Radar” and the “Discover Weekly” features work great, I found the recommendation highly tailored!
Do you have any thoughts on how Spotify is differentiating from similar audio streaming platforms, such as Apple Music?

On April 22, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on AI as a safeguard against cyberbullying :

Dear Kanako, thank you very much for this interesting blog! As you noted, I’d be very interested in seeing which levers could Keepers pull to pursue a more integrated approach in the future. Do you think its current and potential competitor will pursue an integrated approach as well?

On March 24, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on BCG – Putting Data at the Forefront of Consulting Services :

I’ll be joining BCG next year and I found this post very interesting 🙂
Same as Tomas, I’d like to know more on BCG Gamma’s clients!

On March 24, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on Tesla: A Data driven future :

Thanks for this insightful post, Vikram!
As already noted by Max, I’m also a bit concerned on the privacy of the data collected. I’m curious to hear your opinion on it!

The idea of offering a credit scoring separate service seems to be very interesting! I’ll see whether there are already companies that are doing something similar.
And yes I agree with you that they should opt for a solution very simple!

Thanks for the suggestion, Rolando! I don’t know Afluenta but I’ll check it for sure!

On March 24, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on Nike: It’s Data Analytics, Just Do It :

Thank you very much for this, excellent post!
As already mentioned by Tim and Tomas, I’d be curious to know your opinion on whether having 7 different apps is the best strategy to maximize data collection and analysis.

On March 23, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on How Instagram Keeps Users Scrolling For More :

This is an amazing post! Thank you for sharing, Julia!
I LOVE Instagram but have to admit I’m among the users frustrated because feeds do no follow a chronological order anymore!
I’d be very curious to hear if you know anything on how Instagram is dealing with misinformation – do they follow the same strategy adopted by Facebook?

On March 3, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on Clubhouse – The Audio-Only Platform :

Thanks for sharing, Pranav, its super interesting!
It seems Clubhouse has a great potential, and I’m very curious to see how will face competition in the next years.
However, as mentioned by Julia, I am concerned on the security and privacy issues.

On March 3, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on Bumble: Monetizing Empowerment :

Thanks for the post, Vikram!
I found Whitney Wolfe story is very empowering!
As mentioned by Kanako, I am surprised to see that Bumble is expanding its operations into career networking. I wonder whether this is a smart more, or rather a very risky one due to Bumble’s well-established brand image.
I am also considering the potential home-coming effects of entering the professional networking app market. Do you have any thoughts?

Thanks for your comment, Kanako!
I think that one of the key success factor is the richness and the variety of the contents of the platforms, linked with the fact that it provides women with mentorship and work opportunities.
I haven’t had the space to write it (The 750 words limit 🙁 ), but Mogul also organizes regular events such as webinars, master classes and happy hours on a wide range of topics. This is another feature that keep the users very engaged, in my opinion!
Finally I presume that, in the times we are experiencing, where real life connections are so complicated, Mogul’s users enjoy the sense of belonging to a community.

Very interesting point, Juan Carlos! I’d be curious to learn more on these challenges.
And to built on your point, I’d be also interested in knowing the differences in how large corporations versus middle enterprises are using the platform and its services!

Great post, Omar!
And I really like the irony and the alliteration of the introduction 🙂
In your opinion, which are Tinders’s competitive advantages versus the other dating apps such as Bumble, The League etc?

Hi Tiffany, thanks for this very interesting post! I’ve never used Sweat but I bought Kayla’s book back in 2015!
I’m curious to hear your opinion on Sweat’s pricing strategy in a post-covid world. Considering the increased competitions generated by the high number of home-workout apps or Zoom live classes, do you think that Sweat’s higher price is sustainable in the long term?

On February 11, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on DocuSign: Keep your business deals going :

Thanks for your perspective, Almas, indeed DocuSign is providing a high quality product and is one of the winners of the pandemic!
However, as already mentioned by Cristina, Kamako and Omar, there are very relevant implication for both the security of the signatures as well as the (current) lack of measurements to ensure an informed consensus!
I’d be curious to see whether DocuSign will implement features to ensure trust of users and customer protection/informed consensus regulations.

On February 11, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on How Lululemon legitimized leggings as the new business casual :

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Tiffany! And is very true, as you mentioned, that vertical integration allowed Lululemon to have more control and, therefore, to leverage on technologies to enhance value chain operations.
I’m very intrigued by your point on how less partnerships allow for more flexibility and faster adaptation. It’s an important trade off, especially relevant in the post-COVID scenario!

On February 11, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on How Lululemon legitimized leggings as the new business casual :

Thanks for the analysis, Francisco!
I think that while support for ambassadors, enhancing home workouts and investments in some specific technologies for inventories were driven bu the COVID-19 induced crisis, some other changes, as you mentioned, would have happened regardless the pandemic – first of all, the increased focus to e-commerce.
With regards to the Mirror acquisition I am a bit undecided – perhaps Lululemon had the acquisition already on its radar, but the increased popularity of home-workouts might have speed up the process?

On February 11, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on How Lululemon legitimized leggings as the new business casual :

Very good thoughts, Rolando! I like your definition on Lululemon transforming itself into a “technology company that happens to sell sportswear”

Thanks, Tim! Very interesting reflection on acquiring a less-expensive competitor of Mirror! Happy to discuss about that in class or offline, if you have time!

On February 11, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on How Zoom Won the Pandemic :

Very helpful analysis of the video conferencing platform that we all used almost every day since March 2020!
I’m very interested in seeing how Zoom will position after the pandemic, for example I’m curious to see whether it will add extra features aimed at improving internal communication or task coordination within organizations, similar to Microsoft Team or Trello.

On February 11, 2021, Giulia Zaratti commented on Harvard Business School – Remains Open :

Thanks Pranav for this post! Being an HKS MPA student it was impressive to see how fast HBS has adapted, mobilized and innovated to support students and continue providing excellent education during the pandemic. It seems to me that HBS was the most successful, among all the Harvard grad schools, in doing so! This fast transformation was possible thanks to a motivated and strong leadership, commitment of staff and faculty as well as an excellent use of the financial resources owned by HBS.
I could not agree more with Bruno that, although the level of debate is very close to the discussions in person, we are less able to have informal chats and build personal bonds with classmates.
Looking ahead, I am curious to see which changes adopted by HBS will become permanent, and whether there will be some transformation also for HBS online.
