It was approved by the Foreign Trade Association (amfori as from 1\/1\/2018) and overrules the BSCI Code of Conduct version 2009 in all its translations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theapsca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA)<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA) is a membership-based industry association whose mission is to improve the professionalism, consistency, and credibility of the individuals and organizations performing third-party social compliance audits. APSCA has created a Competency Framework designed to ensure that auditors adequately identify and document evidence of social compliance performance across a wide array of social compliance elements. Auditors engaged by APSCA-member auditing firms can apply to be recognized as a Registered Auditor (RA) or an Associate Social Compliance Auditor (ASCA), and may pass a qualifying test to become a Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ethicaltrade.org\/eti-base-code\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI)<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ETI Base Code is founded on the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and is an internationally recognised code of labour practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairlabor.org\/our-work\/code-of-conduct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fair Labor Association (FLA) Workplace Code of Conduct<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies that join the FLA commit to ten Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing (and\/or Production) and agree to uphold the FLA Workplace Code of Conduct in their supply chain. The Code of Conduct is based on International Labour Organization (ILO) standards, and seeks to protect the workers who manufacture the clothing, footwear, agricultural products and other items enjoyed by consumers around the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ics-asso.org\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Initiative for Compliance and Sustainability (ICS) Social Code of Conduct<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The social Handbook for factories, the code of conduct and the environmental best practices factsheets&nbsp;are part of the ICS recent development of supporting tools and guidance for its members\u2019 supplying factories and partners with the aim to sustainably enhance compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilo.org\/global\/standards\/introduction-to-international-labour-standards\/conventions-and-recommendations\/lang--en\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Labour Organization\u2019s (ILO) International Labour Standards<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ILO Governing Body has identified eight \u201cfundamental\u201d Conventions, covering subjects that are considered to be fundamental principles and rights at work: freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining; the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour; the effective abolition of child labour; and the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/iso-45001-occupational-health-and-safety.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 45001 \u2013 Occupational health and safety<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An ISO committee of occupational health &amp; safety experts set to work to develop an International Standard with the potential to save almost three million lives each year. Structured in a similar way to other ISO management systems, the approach will be familiar to users of standards such as ISO 14001 or ISO 9001. ISO 45001 builds on the success of earlier international standards in this area such as OHSAS 18001, the International Labour Organization\u2019s ILO-OSH Guidelines, various national standards and the ILO\u2019s international labour standards and conventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedex.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sedex<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedex.com\/our-services\/smeta-audit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SMETA<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sedex is one of the world\u2019s leading ethical trade service providers, working to improve working conditions in global supply chains. They provide practical tools, services and a community network to help companies improve their responsible and sustainable business practices, and source responsibly. SMETA is an audit methodology, providing a compilation of best practice ethical audit techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sa-intl.org\/programs\/sa8000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Social Accountability International (SAI) SA8000<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The SA8000 Standard is the world\u2019s leading social certification program. It provides a holistic framework allowing organizations of all types, in any industry, and in any country to demonstrate their dedication to the fair treatment of workers. Created by SAI in 1997 as the first credible social certification, it has led the industry for over 20 years. SA8000 is available for organizations of any size, in any industry, and in nearly every country of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/slcp.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\/sections\/360005179434-Converged-Assessment-Framework-CAF-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Social &amp; Labor Convergence Program (SLCP)<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SPCP\u2019s Converged Assessment Framework, liked above, consists of the Data Collection Tool, Verification Protocol and Verifier Guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wrapcompliance.org\/en\/12-principles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP)<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The WRAP Principles are based on generally accepted international workplace standards, local laws and workplace regulations, and include the spirit or language of relevant conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)\u2019s Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
