Thanks for the unique insight, Phil! It will be really interesting to see how Caesars effectively uses all the data it generates.

Also, it’s very surprising that slot machines are still a thing

Tanya – thanks for your comment. While researching this post, I came across a very well written post on casino space design so felt I shouldn’t recreate the wheel! Here’s the link if you’re interested:

“Breno, a once-promising Brazilian defensive talent, was sentenced to jail after setting a fire in his own home in Munich. FCB honored its contract and supported his re-integration into the sport after his prison term.” I found your point around culture really interesting. In my experience, sports clubs legacies depend a lot on their ability to win but almost more importantly to ensure that their fans feel like they are part of something bigger. With the cultural elements that you describe, I am quite confident that Bayern is one of the healthiest clubs in Europe.

Great post, Akram. You may find it interesting to read a similar post on an Indian airline called, Indigo. It is also based on the Southwest model and has been tremendously successful in India. What I would be interested to hear more about is what you think the future of their pricing strategy will be. Do you expect low cost airlines to move to a subscription based model and see people using it as a form of commuting to work multiple days a week?

On December 13, 2015, SK Misra commented on Bonobos: A Better Fitting Model for a Better Fitting Pant :

As a former management consultant, Bonobos is a brand I’m very familiar with. It was often referred to as the consultant’s uniform on the west coast. We frequented the guide shop that was down the street from the office and enjoyed the dedicated customer service and emphasis on fit. As your post correctly points out, we shop a few times per year. By virtue of that, I feel that we are not good at ordering things online, trying them on and returning items that don’t fit. With the Bonobos guide shop that all goes away and I think is an operating model masterstroke. Great choice of company!
