It involves setting up ambulatory vertically integrated medical precincts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-146\" src=\"https:\/\/d3.harvard.edu\/platform-mhcdsolutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-04-29-at-1.16.00-PM-300x255.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d3.harvard.edu\/platform-mhcdsolutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-04-29-at-1.16.00-PM-300x255.png 300w, https:\/\/d3.harvard.edu\/platform-mhcdsolutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-04-29-at-1.16.00-PM.png 482w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><u>Aim:<\/u> To reduce patient cycle time, enabling early review, diagnosis, treatment plan and rehabilitation back to the community.<\/p>\n<p><u>Current:<\/u> First partition went up in a 2500sqm site on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> of November 2016 with the official launch on the 24<sup>th<\/sup> of Feb 2107.<\/p>\n<p><u>Facilities:<\/u> 16 primary care physician rooms, training facilities for university students and registrars, 24 medical and surgical specialists on a sessional basis, independent Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology unit (with refractie, occuloplastics and retinal specialists) and Imaging department with X-rays, Ultrasounds, CT scans and MRI, a day surgery unit, 2 theatres, and, the last 4 departments are JV\u2019s with physicians, parent company, CEO and I.<\/p>\n<p><u>Growth:<\/u> Two new precincts to be open in 2017 and three in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><u>Challenges: <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrating medical records.<\/li>\n<li>Sharing information between each department, as each department works on their preferred medical software and billing systems.<\/li>\n<li>Sharing of clinical information after meeting appropriate standards and consents with insurance companies who deal with 3<sup>rd<\/sup> party and workers compensation claims. This will expedite approvals for medical treatment from insurance companies.<\/li>\n<li>Coping with growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Question:<\/u> There needs to be an overarching IT solution, which syncs the various services.
