Leonardo – The Body Platform

Leonardo is inspired in the Art and the Science of the human body to provide customized products to modern customers.

 

 

Using a human point of view, we applied technology to provide a closer user experience when your own body is the main measure.

Personalization is customer based on Social Media individual projection and direct sales. According to Deloitte the most desired customized products are holidays 73%, clothing 64%, furniture 63%,  accessories 61%, footwear 56%, flights 54%, hotels 51%, restaurants 43%, food e groceries 37%, electronics 37%, health & wellness 34%, beauty e products 34%, books, 32%, beers 29%, soft drinks 23%.

The categories boded above are direct dependent of body dimensions. The current offers to personalize them are based on final design, as the colors. A real customization considering the product design based as how large is the paint in a suit, is not offered yet. Even the mass customization fails because the body measures applied in the industries are not enough statistically relevant, and not updated in the frequency that the human populations is changing.

Industries have the technology to improve the customization, but failure in apply analytics to make customization possible, and failure to use the power of sharing platform to get the data required to use analytics.

The platform is the way to the available technologies to provide data and feed the analytical tools. Data getting is done by users applying VR or equivalent technologies. Since the user take all measures in this body, from head to feet, standing and siting, no more data will be required unless the user requires an update. In the second step, the user select the product and verify how the product fit her body in a 3D model based on her measures. The data will be available to all suppliers in the platform in an analytical form, keeping the users identity and privacy safety. The suppliers in different industries should adopt the modern manufacturing models with robots in production line and 3D printers to reduce the customization costs and lead times from 50 t0 80%. Suppliers can use the data base to update not personalized products with data that reflected better her customer target characteristics.

The users engagement is the key for the solution and according to Frank Piller, a professor of management at Aachen University in Germany,   configurations are “ an open call for participation” issued by companies to customers. One reason mass customization is taking off, he said, is that consumers are getting comfortable buying online and being specific about what they want.  The solution is the way to reach the participation condition.

The platform will growth based on network effect attracting developers that can be easy to use and providing additional features, as games where the user can create a character that has exactly her characteristics. The suppliers will be attract by the users and by the data base allowing mass customized product production. The customers will be attract by the personalized products and VR experience.

As developing and sharing platform, the required technologies to support Websites and Apps use are part of the architecture. Considering the collection of personal data, a strong cyber security solution is mandatory. The use of VR devices should be flexible enough to allow since a single camera to a professional 3D glass. CAD and 3D printers are recommend to the suppliers, but are not mandatory neither part of Leonardo´s solution.

The potential market evaluation is based on potential customers (American inhabitants older than 15 years old and with a wiliness to share personal data get personal products). The select industries are found in desired customized products with body measures or characteristics like is skin color requirement

 

The current competitors are focused on niche and don´t apply the concept of sharing platforms. We use the existing supplier base to evaluate the potential number of subscriptions on the new platform.

Considering the structural completion during one year in parallel with new features development. From the second year, the growth forecast is based on customer base improvement at a fixed rate of 20% CAGR.

The initial investment is the Website and the Cloud Database. The developers’ fees are based on the number of user’s files shared using a proprietary solution. The revenue is based on an average fee over the suppliers’ revenue.
